Catering equipment servicing firm McFT has appointed Lee Williams as operations director with responsibility for operations, procurement, logistics, service desk and supply chain.
He has a history of working with mobile field workforces and their support teams, as his career started with British Gas as a trainee gas engineer over 30 years ago. Since then he has held various leadership positions at British Gas, Transco and at BSkyB as operations director, running its 3,000-strong field engineer operation and support network.
Over the last 10 years Williams has been held a number of operations director roles at SMEs in the refrigeration, air conditioning, security and facilities management sectors.
He commented: “I am delighted to be joining McFT at such an exciting time of growth and change.
“I have been really impressed with the enthusiasm to succeed, the openness of everyone I have met and the desire to work in a great environment. No other company of this size gives training to engineers of the calibre they get at McFT.
“The recent City & Guilds endorsement for the Leadership Academy and Technical Academy is a remarkable achievement. I’m looking forward to playing my part in supporting the growth of this business.”
MD Mark Brooker said: “Really pleased to welcome Lee to the team and very much look forward to working with him. Selecting the right person is never easy and I feel we have both made a great choice.”
While CEO Chris Craggs concluded: “Lee’s wide experience will help us drive the next phase of our growth, the broadening of our services and to bring further leadership to the development of our outstanding and industry-recognised teams here and internationally. A win for present and future customers as well as for our people.”
