McFT snaps up new sales and marketing director

Dan Smith has taken over as sales and marketing director at McFarlane Telfer.

Commercial kitchen maintenance company McFT (McFarlane Telfer) has appointed Dan Smith as its new sales and marketing director.

Having previously been business development director at facilities management firm Mitie, Smith has sector experience in airports, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, the arts, IT and the public sector.

He takes over from Mark Brooker who became MD around the beginning of this year. Previous MD and company founder Chris Craggs stepped up to the CEO role at that time too, to explore new international opportunities.

Smith’s remit is to raise the profile of McFT and develop more strategic and expansive client relationships. He commented: “I am genuinely excited to have the opportunity to support McFT’s growth plans. I have joined the organisation at an excellent time as McFT continues to build on its outstanding reputation with innovation and developments that further support its ever expanding client base. The asset management portal in particular is a very good example of how McFT is working to provide invaluable business intelligence to their clients as well as improving efficiency.”

He joins McFT at a time of significant growth as the company has increased its turnover by 30% per annum in the last 5 years.

Brooker added: “I feel that with Dan’s experience in the FM world we can more fully understand how to build on existing relationships as well develop new ones. We have come a long way in the last 5 years and we are absolutely focused at maintaining this pace in the years to come.”
