TFSE has supplied refrigeration to a new Lebanese deli in London that faced an equipment conundrum it claims is symptomatic of independent food outlets.
The Surrey-based manufacturer insists that one of the main problems facing smaller shop owners is that they can never find counters, fridges and ‘grab and go’ cabinets that all match.
Its latest customer — New Crackers in Kensington High Street — had that very issue when it came to fitting out the property.
“We needed to display a wide range of foods and produce including meats, fruit, vegetables and cakes,” explained owner George Salman. “Different units from different manufacturers would make the store look untidy so we looked everywhere for someone who could supply exactly what we wanted.”
The operator selected one of TFSE’s new refrigerated cafe counters, along with two Grab and Go refrigerate display units.
These fit flush against the wall to make the best use of space and are display dairy products, drinks and fresh fruit and vegetables for self-service customers.
A matching patisserie cabinet was also supplied to display cakes and sweets separately.
TFSE manufacture everything to order, so they were able to build the units to a bespoke specification which included marble countertops and shelving. “More and more people are coming to us because we can offer them exactly what they want,” said TFSE managing director Devish Patel.
