Marren remembers long-serving engineer


Catering equipment maintenance provider, Marren Group, has paid tribute to one of its longest serving employees, who passed away last week.

Field service engineer, Andy Robins, gave 17 years’ service to Marren, covering the Dorset and Hampshire areas where he maintained and repaired microwave and combination ovens.

Andy fell ill about three months ago and lost his battle against cancer on Friday 18 July, aged 59-years-old.

Bob Clifford, Marren’s managing director, paid tribute to his colleague this morning: “Andy will always be remembered for both his professional attitude and good natured approach with people, both colleagues and customers alike,” he said.

Prior to joining Marren, Andy’s worked in the catering industry for Twyford Engineering and Ken Wheeler Catering.

He leaves behind his wife Carol, his daughter Lucy and son Daniel.

The funeral will be held at Yeovil Crematorium, Bunford Lane, Yeovil BA20 2EJ at 11.20am on Friday 1 August.

Andy was a great Pink Floyd fan and some of their music will be played at the service.
