Public health and hygiene are key to what we need to get our heads around and PG is dead right about making hands free hand washing mandatory along with infection control using the technology available to us but until the “scores on the doors” star rating makes it a tick box exercise to get 5 stars if they are fitted it will remain optional.

    If good Hygiene is recognised then standards will be set and those that want to show they care will get 5 stars. Covid has made us here at Target acutely aware of this and we now specify Mechline in all our designs.

    PG and Mechline have always headed up everything that is best and safest in commercial kitchens and beyond and should be applauded for what they do and the support they have given as this situation evolves that we find ourselves in.

    If only other countries had the same high standards of public health and food hygiene and effective policing of food production from farm to fork perhaps we would not be in the situation we now find ourselves in.
