Cooking equipment from Mareno has been fitted at the latest Las Iguanas restaurant to open in the UK.

The manufacturer worked with Chesterfield dealer Catering Projects to fit the prime cooking equipment at the Latin eatery’s latest venture in Cambridge.

The range was installed at the end of last month ahead of the restaurant’s April opening.

Mareno, which is distributed by Dawson in the UK, says its Protagonista 90 Series was chosen by the operator for its versatility, design and durability.

The ergonomic design and modular dimensions of the range is geared towards enabling chefs to obtain the maximum performance out of every product without having to compromise the ability to control the entire process in the kitchen.

Las Iguanas was started in Bristol back in 1991 and its mixture of native Latin American Indian, Spanish, Portuguese and African influences soon gained popularity locally. It now operates almost 30 restaurants across the UK.

Catering Projects, the dealer which installed the kitchen, was founded in 2005 to serve the leisure sector and since crossed into the commercial market.
