Catering storage and trolley specialist Shelfspan has made a series of personnel changes that coincide with the owner and MD of the company moving to a chairman’s role.
Gordon Morris, who co-founded the business 25 years ago, will now serve as chairman of the board after handing the reins to son David. He becomes the new MD after eight years heading Shelfspan’s sales operations.
Additionally, general manager Steve Shepherd steps up to the role of operations director, responsible for all sourcing and supply chain activities.
The Essex-based company, which is a member of CESA, has also strengthened its sales team by appointing James Kershaw as its new business development manager.
Kershaw previously served as sales manager at Trak Hupfer and prior to that he worked as estimating manager for distributor CDS Wilman.
Shelfspan was founded in 1987 by Gordon Morris and Melvyn Shepherd. It manufactures and supplies a wide range of storage and handling solutions, including shelving and trolleys, for sectors such as catering and hospitality.
