Ventilation system manufacturer, Mansfield Pollard, has seen its MD, Joanna Robinson, nominated for another award.
The shortlisting for the ‘Inspiring Leader of the Year’ honour at Forward Ladies Yorkshire Women in Business Awards follows Robinson’s victory in this year’s ‘Woman of the Year’, Medium Sized Business category, at the Barclays Yorkshire Women in Business Awards.
She became MD of Mansfield Pollard in early 2013 and is said to have quickly established a clear vision for the future of the business, championing a culture based on customer focus, quality, integrity, innovation and fun.
The fabricator firm believes that her leadership has been characterised by her willingness to engage with others, encourage team development, invest in people and take measured risks.
The company now employs 160 staff, sales are up over 30% in its last fiscal year and major business wins have seen its products providing air management solutions in locations as diverse as Azerbaijan, Dubai and all over the UK.
The Forward Ladies Yorkshire Women in Business Awards will take place in Newcastle on 29 September. The event, which is arranged by the networking organisation Forward Ladies, highlights the entrepreneurial individuals who have defied tough economic conditions to create thriving enterprises.
Robinson said: “It was a wonderful surprise to have been shortlisted in the 2015 Forward Ladies award programme and I’m absolutely delighted that the work which my team and I are doing has gained this recognition. I think it’s important to recognise the contributions which women make in leaderships roles and I congratulate all of the women who’ve been shortlisted in this year’s award programme.”
