Mansfield Pollard engineer ‘braves to shave’ for charity

Project engineer at air management firm Mansfield Pollard, Mick Lee, has recently shaved his head to show solidarity with people who have cancer and raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Sponsored by friends, and the team at Bradford-based Mansfield Pollard, Lee joined thousands of other ‘Brave Shavers’ across the country who have taken part in this latest challenge from Macmillan.

He said: “It is always devastating when someone is diagnosed with cancer; your instinct is to help in any way that you can. This is a very visual reminder to show people that cancer is still very much part of our lives, and I hope that the ‘buzz’ of the day reminds people to show their support.”

Andrew Glen, sales and marketing director for Mansfield Pollard added: “We are proud of Mick and his decision to become a ‘brave shaver’ to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

“We believe that as a business we have a responsibility to support our local community and charitable causes and we’re involved in a number of initiatives in support of charitable organisations.”
