After starting his career as a sheet metal apprentice less than a mile away from what is now Mansfield Pollard’s headquarters, Griffiths progressed to more senior management roles with different manufacturing companies and was promoted to general manager of WEC Group in 2008.

Most recently he held the position of operations director at Balmoral Tanks, specialising in steel industrial water tanks, before accepting the position at MP.

Griffiths said: “Joining Mansfield Pollard was almost like a home-coming for me. I am very familiar with their products and services, as these were exactly what I worked on as an apprentice and I also have a vast amount of experience in production automation and process management.

“Mansfield Pollard’s philosophy of ‘open-door’ management and staff development is a breath of fresh air in this industry. I firmly believe that employees are our greatest asset and my initial focus will be to further develop my team’s potential and allow them to do what they are good at.

“When you combine robust production processes with fully engaged and empowered members of staff, you have the ingredients for an extremely successful and productive operation.”
