Lisburn-based Lowe Rental has signed up to be an integral part of Expo 2020 Dubai, the world’s largest trade show.
The Northern Irish-headquartered company has secured contracts to supply catering equipment to five country pavilions and has been named the official provider of catering equipment for the UK pavilion.
Having been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Expo 2020 Dubai will be staged from 1 October 2021, running for 6 months to 31 March 2022 at the newly-constructed Dubai Exhibition Centre, close to the region’s international airports and cruise terminals.
Running for a total of 182 days, over 100 times the length of an average exhibition, the event will be a challenging environment. Therefore, Lowe Rental believes it can support exhibition companies through the entirety of the show with speed and expertise.
The rental firm will offer at Expo 2020 Dubai: refrigeration, freezers, coldrooms, commercial kitchen fit-outs, catering equipment, cutlery and crockery.
The show is set to attract 195 exhibiting countries and millions of visitors, both virtually and at the massive venue equivalent to the size of 600 football pitches.
The event is always held around a theme that attempts to improve people’s knowledge in arts, culture, science and technology, and the theme of Expo 2020 is ‘Connecting Minds – Creating the Future’.
The site includes three sub-themed areas – opportunity, mobility and sustainability – with the UK pavilion located in the opportunity district under the UK’s theme of ‘Innovating for a Shared Future’.
