Long-serving Carford man joins Brakes in project role

Sprint's Ian Bryant is one of the speakers at Specifi's vNext virtual trade show on Wednesday.

Brakes Catering Equipment has appointed experienced catering equipment professional Ian Bryant as its new project sales controller for the south of England.

Bryant joins the distributor from Dorset-based kitchen house Carford, now owned by JLA, where he spent 17 years.

During his time at the company he rose from the position of territory salesman to sales director. He had responsibility for overseeing eight project sales managers, two project managers, the CAD department, the light equipment department, machine sales, kitchen ventilation and administration staff.

Bryant says he is hoping to draw on all of his experience to help Brakes grow its project business.

“My new role will see me enhance the Brakes Catering Equipment project offering in the south of England where I will be covering all products and sectors,” he said. “I am looking forward to fully utilising the knowledge, experience and expertise that I gained during my time with Carford and am very enthusiastic about being part of Brakes Catering Equipment’s plans, making an impact and strengthening its already vibrant and focussed team.”

Brakes Catering Equipment is the kitchen supply and design division of the Brakes Group, one of the country’s largest foodservice providers.
