Lockhart vindicated by northern show launch

Bunzl Lockhart says it is delighted with the response to its decision to launch an exhibition for suppliers and customers in the north.

The company has held its own event in the south for the past five years — which will return again at Wembley in September — but it also recently hosted a similar event in Manchester for the first time.

Dubbed ‘The Show — North’, the event at Old Trafford showcased the latest innovations in catering equipment from more than 30 of the UK’s leading manufacturers.

The event attracted 350 registered visitors and featured guest appearances from Bonzer mixologist James Trevillion and TV chef and food consultant Andy Bates from the Food Network Channel.

Bunzl Lockhart Catering Equipment used the occasion to unveil its high quality glassware range, ‘Glacial,’ to huge applause, together with its new ‘Trend Set’ brochure, with the objective of providing operators with the latest global trends in the art of food and drink presentation.

Paul Nieduszynski, managing director of Bunzl Lockhart Catering Equipment, said there hasn’t been anything like ‘The Show’ for operators in the north of the country and it felt this needed addressing.

“The feedback we’ve received has been phenomenal,” he said. “We were able to showcase genuine innovation to visitors and also provide them with the latest industry trends and insights to ensure they continue to raise their game.”

‘The Show’ returns south to Wembley Stadium on Tuesday 9 September.
