Lockhart backs cooking competition

Dealer giant, Lockhart Catering Equipment, is once again partnering with the Craft Guild of Chefs to run this year’s National Chef of the Year competition.

The distributor has backed the contest for several years.

This year, CCS, Churchill and and Sous Vide Tools are also involved as sponsors.

Since being established in 1972, the competition has kick-started the careers of Gordon Ramsay, David Everitt-Matthias, Mark Sargeant, Steve Love, Simon Hulstone and Hrishikesh Desai, who have all been past winners.

This year’s competition final will take place at the Restaurant Show at Olympia, London, on Tuesday 4 October. Entries are currently open to chefs who are 24 years or older as of 1 April 2016.
