On Wednesday night, Lloyd Catering Equipment supported a special event to raise money for cancer charities.
One of the chefs at the Alvanley Arms gastropub in Cotebrook, Cheshire, has been diagnosed as being terminally ill with stomach cancer. Only 23 years old, he is said to have had a great future in the industry ahead of him.
Therefore the team at the pub, plus at owner Frederic Robinson Brewery, pulled together to organise a seven course charity dinner on site to raise awareness.
Rotherham-based Lloyd Catering Equipment donated the raffle prizes and attended with industry professionals on the night to raise as much money as possible.
Renowned chef Simon Rimmer compered the event, which included an auction.
Lloyd sales director Jason Cunliffe reported that the total money raised was “exceptional”.
