Linda Lewis Kitchens (LLK) recently partnered up with Italian manufacturer, Cuppone, to treat three of their key customers and their plus ones to a trip to Treviso, Italy.
Attendees included John and Ruth Mynard from Bluestone, Danny Potter from KCCJ and Hayley Dean from CS Catering. They were flown over the Dolomites to the Cuppone family factory, which has been operational for over 65 years.
Guests were treated to a whistle-stop tour of the Cuppone factory where they were invited into the factory to meet the staff who hand-build the ovens and other equipment as well as being able to see new innovations that the Cuppone family have been working on.
LLK MD Linda Lewis was then honoured with an award from the Cuppone family for being its ‘Best Customer of 2017’, as the manufacturer feels that her partnership has allowed it to thrive and expand over the past 12 months. This expansion has seen the creation of a speciality industry line which is specifically designed to create LLK equipment.
After the factory tour, the group along with Lewis, were taken to the Prosecco Valley where they visited the family owned, Toffoli Vineyard. They learnt about the process of making prosecco and got to sample a selection of the vineyard’s award-winning wines as well as the opportunity to dine on some local produce.
The second day of the Italy trip consisted of a trip to Venice, where the pizza specialists’ guests were taken aboard a gondola to explore the city via its waterways before being treated to lunch and a glass of prosecco at San Marco Square.
Marketing executive Grace Carr, who also attended, praised Lewis and Cuppone: “We were given an A-list experience in Italy; Linda and Cuppone pulled out all of the stops to ensure we had a great time. It was interesting to visit the Cuppone factory and see how all of our equipment is made by hand by the team.”
Lewis added: “Our partnership with Cuppone has been vital in our success and I am proud to have received the award for the best customer. I had a fabulous time in Italy and hope that everyone enjoyed an insight into how we do business and the products that we exclusively supply to the UK market.”
