Linda Lewis Kitchens is expanding its business by strengthening its in-house service capabilities.

The Oldham-based catering equipment supplier says the investment in its business follows a record three months of Cuppone pizza equipment sales.

The expansion will include the recruitment of an apprentice engineer, the purchase of a new van for its fleet and the addition of a fully-qualified commercial gas engineer.

Managing director, Linda Lewis, said: “While we are fully committed with work until December this year, it is our intention to offer our services to our dealer network. We already do service work in the surrounding area on food machinery and gas and electrical equipment.

“By March 2014 we will be fully operation to offer a full service of installation and repair work to our dealers and other manufacturers within the industry.”

LLK’s move into the service and installation sector caps what has been a productive first half of the year for the company. Lewis herself also recently celebrated being named the ‘Oldham Business Woman of the Year’.

“There is definitely more optimism out in the market place at the moment, it is very encouraging,” she said.
