A liquidator has been appointed for Red Rob Catering Supplies, the Birmingham-based catering equipment reseller.
Red Rob is the trading name of Wallington House Limited, which is now in the hands of liquidators Pattinsons Insolvency Limited after its appointment earlier this month.
An official notice confirming the appointment lists the case as a ‘creditors’ liquidation’.
Red Rob was located in central Birmingham and supplied everything from dishwashers and refrigeration to barware and cutlery.
It advertised itself as having a large showroom and holding “substantial stocks” on site. It supplied to customers nationally and operated a local delivery service to Birmingham post codes. Red Rob also had a kitchen and restaurant design department and offered project management services.
The Statement of Company’s Affairs published at the meeting of creditors lists 97 separate creditors owed a total of £282,474.
While the largest single debts were related to HM Revenue & Customs and directors’ and shareholders’ loan accounts, more than 50% of the deficit was owed to trade and expense creditors.
Trade creditors owed the most money include Staples Disposables (£22,526), ARC International (£21,121), DPS Tableware (£10,718), RB Distributors (£9,660) and Villeroy & Boch (£3,867).
Total assets available for preferential creditors were estimated to be £34,400.
The liquidator, Ian Pattinson, could not be reached for comment at the time of publication.
