Italian catering equipment supplier, Linda Lewis Kitchens, is aiming to further boost the burgeoning UK street food scene in 2016 by importing the Valoriani Trailer Oven.
The new appliance, designed by the Tuscan wood-fired pizza oven manufacturer, is a trailer specifically designed to carry a Valoriani Igloo Professional oven and protect the oven in transit.
Two sizes of oven – the 120 or the 140 – are available, with internal dimensions of 1,200 x 1,200mm and 1,400mm x 1,400mm respectively.
The trailer oven can cook between five and nine artisan pizzas at once, and has DEFRA certification that demonstrates its compliance with environmental regulations so that it can be operated in smoke control areas.
Linda Lewis Kitchens’ MD, Linda Lewis, said: “The street food on-trend style of catering is likely to continue to grow and the Valoriani Trailer Oven is a new option for those looking for something that will be hugely popular, offer good margins and produce the appealing wood-fired aroma that helps attract customers.
“We are excited about the possibilities for this trailer oven and believe that, thanks to its environmental accreditation from DEFRA, it will become the outdoor oven to which mobile caterers currently operating illegal wood ovens, or emission-heavy charcoal ovens, will turn.”
