Linda Lewis opens North Wales division


Italian catering equipment importer and supplier, Linda Lewis Kitchens, is preparing for a period of sustained expansion in 2016 by establishing a second geographical base for the business and restructuring operations to enable MD, Linda Lewis, to have a fresh new focus.

A new Linda Lewis Kitchens North Wales and North West Service Division, based in Penrynside Llandudno, will enable the business to efficiently supply and service an even wider area than at present, working in conjunction with the HQ service division based in Oldham.

The supplier believes its service division, led by customer services manager, Nicola Rogers, has already built up a strong reputation for swift response to call-outs and also the loaning of equipment, where possible.

Linda and her husband, technical director, Carl Lewis, will relocate to North Wales, enabling Carl to spearhead the new division, whilst Linda creates a new base from which to drive the business forward, sourcing, importing and supplying catering solutions for existing and new clients.

The Oldham HQ will continue to be managed by general manager, Natalie White, who stepped into this role 12 months ago, having been with the company for 7.5 years. She will work alongside finance director, Joe Solomon, who has been with Linda Lewis Kitchens for 8 years. The pair will continue to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operation.

Linda has a variety of major ideas and concepts to roll out in 2016 and will now have the time and space to focus on taking LLK to the next level. She has her sights set on significant growth in the next few years, having already generated around 25% more business in 2015.

She has also partnered with Orchard Ovens by Valoriani to open the UK’s first pizza demonstration kitchen, which is based in Preston. Additionally, she is working with Italian brand, Fruilco, to supply dough ball dividers and rounders to kitchens wishing to make pizzas and flatbreads.

She commented: “A major investment in training and development is already underway and the aim is to develop the business rapidly in our tenth anniversary year – 2016.

“By increasing our geographical area for repair and installation work, we can simultaneously generate more leads for our dealer network, ensuring that our great relationship with our dealers is further cemented. The supply and service of equipment often enjoy a symbiotic relationship, which is why we have made the move into North Wales.”
