Italian catering equipment importer Linda Lewis Kitchens (LLK) has unveiled plans to become a provider of third party spare parts and will not limit it just to the brands that it distributes.

The company recently recruited Ryan King as its new service and spares coordinator as part of its new strategy for growth.

King, who has previously worked in the spare parts industry, has already delivered a 65% year-on-year uptick in sales through LLK’s spare parts department since he joined eight weeks ago.

Commercial director, Jenna Lewis, said the move to grow its spare parts business was a significant step for the company given the narrow breadth of its previous spares focus.

“Until recently, LLK was only equipped to source spare parts for the equipment that we sell,” she explained. “Bringing Ryan and his indispensable industry knowledge on board means that we have now expanded our spare parts offering to include all catering equipment manufacturers.”

LLK has also announced the promotion of north-west service manager, Will Pilling, to the role of technical director. Pilling recently gained his Gas Safe accreditation while trainee engineer, Tony Godding, has concluded his basic electrics training to complete his advancement to service engineer.

The Oldham-based firm claims its service department has seen an increase in demand over recent months due to the fast-growing food and beverage climate in Manchester and its surrounding areas.

Managing director, Linda Lewis, commented: “Investing in staff training is one of our core values here at Linda Lewis Kitchens, we find that it is something that is highly beneficial to both LLK and our customers. Having more skilled staff means that we are equipped to tackle bigger challenges and maintain our high standards of customer service.”

  1. In my opinion the distributors must be open to all manufacturers in the market, in order to provide the widest range of solutions to their customers. That means that an extra effort must be done, but will result in more satisfied customers. At Fricosmos we always pay full attention to our customers requirements, ever more and more demanding.
