The businesswoman behind Italian catering equipment importer and supplier, Linda Lewis Kitchens, has been accepted on to the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK programme.
Linda Lewis, MD of the Oldham-based firm, was given a place on the renowned business growth programme, following recent interviews.
She is now part of a spring cohort that started their programme on 18 April and ‘graduate’ on 15 July.
During this period, Lewis will benefit from a business growth curriculum designed by national and international experts.
The programme rotates between online and residential sessions, with the latter held at Leeds University, Aston University and University of Oxford.
The programme comprises formal learning, mentoring and peer-to-peer support, with all of the business leaders involved learning from each other.
The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK programme was launched in 2010.
It focuses on developing the leaders of high growth small businesses and social enterprises and aims to help create more jobs, and drive economic growth, through innovation and market expansion.
Lewis said: “I am delighted to have been accepted by the Goldman Sachs programme and am looking forward to what promises to be an amazing opportunity to further develop and grow Linda Lewis Kitchens.
“To receive this news in our 10th anniversary year gives us another reason to celebrate.
“We have already grown our team in recent months, by taking on new apprentices, and expect to grow even more during this landmark year, which is great news for our dealers, as it will mean new opportunities for them.
“We have also created a second service arm to our business in North Wales, which has recently won a Krupps servicing contract, and have partnered with Orchard Ovens by Valoriani in the UK’s first dedicated pizza demonstration kitchen, so there are many positive things happening within the business which have helped us achieve this coup.”
