Lincat talks up electric solid top demand

Lincat has bulked up its commercial cooking proposition with the introduction of an electric solid top range.

The OE7015, part of the popular Opus 700 heavy duty range, is designed to provide the versatility and flexibility of a gas solid top for customers who are looking for an electric option.

Featuring a powerful electric solid top and fast, twin-fan assisted oven, the new OE7015 brings speed, control and reliability to the all-electric kitchen, according to the firm.

Nick McDonald, marketing director of Lincat Ltd, said the launch would meet market demand for heavy duty solid tops that can guarantee speed and reliability.

“Electric ranges have grown in popularity in recent years due, we think, to the legal requirement for gas models to be positioned under powered extraction canopies fitted with an interlock, which can add considerably to the cost of installation,” he commented.

The Range’s twin zone, full-width heavy duty hot plate has been built to maximise the available cooking space, while its two 2.7kW and two 2kW elements produce controllable heat gradient throughout the cast iron plate.
