Lincat has created a series of new equipment videos that it is hosting on its website.

The new films, presented primarily by Lincat development chef Paul Hickman, aim to answer key questions such as how to change the filter cartridge on a FilterFlow water boiler, or how to filter frying oil using the Opus 700 fryer’s on-board filtration system.

They also aim to let viewers judge the quality and performance of individual products for themselves. One of the new films, for instance, is titled: ‘Panther Hotcupboards — can we break them?’

The videos are intended to be of use to both Lincat’s distribution partners worldwide, as well as users of Lincat equipment.
Nick McDonald, marketing director of Lincat, said that video provided a different medium through which to communicate the strength of its products.

“You can explain in a brochure how easy it is to change a FilterFlow filter for example, but with video you can let people see for themselves,” he said.

Other catering equipment manufacturers are also dabbling in video to showcase their offerings on an interactive level.

Last week, Williams Refrigeration uploaded a series of videos to its site exploring key topics around its range of commercial blast chillers.
