Lincat has added a new range of powerful gas chargrills to its heavy duty Opus 700 range as it bids to take advantage of current commercial food trends.

There are four chargrills in the new range, two of which – the 1200mm wide OG7403N/P and the 1500mm wide OG7404N/P – are the largest it has ever produced.

Lincat’s marketing director, Nick McDonald, says the equipment will provide operators with a solution for providing chargrilled food in the most cost-efficient way.

“As the popularity of chargrilled food and healthier options continues to grow, our new, larger chargrills can help businesses to widen their menu, increase their output and reduce their operating costs,” he said.

Lincat says the chargrills feature infra-red ceramic plaque burners that deliver significant energy savings on previous models, as well as offer extremely fast heat up times. The multiple heat zones can also be operated separately.

The heat radiants which shield each burner have been designed to deliver the optimum amount of flaring to produce a chargrilled taste, while reversible branding grids allow uninterrupted cooking.
