Lincat has introduced Opus SelfCooking Center XS combi ovens, which are rebadged versions of Rational’s new XS models.

With a footprint of just 550mm x 655mm, the XS is a 6 x GN2/3 unit, which is said to incorporate all the features and functionality of the larger GN1/1 and GN2/1 models.

When combined with a matching UltraVent fume and condensation hood, the XS can be built into any installation, making it suitable for front of house applications.

Helen Applewhite, marketing manager of Lincat explained: “Rational chooses a partner in every territory which can offer combis to the marketplace as part of a broader package, which is to say with other items of cooking equipment.

“This is because a significant number of customers prefer to buy the most advanced combi technology available, together with other equipment for their kitchen, from a single, trusted, supplier.”

The new Opus SelfCooking Center is said to feature intelligent technology including an updated touchscreen display to make it even more intuitive, and the central processing unit (CPU) is now designed to start up in just 24 seconds.

At the same time new LED lighting is said to maximise efficiency, and optional iLevelControl rack signalling, triple glass doors and an energy consumption display are also all available.
