Lincat adds induction hobs to Silverlink range

Lincat has added four new energy efficient induction hobs to Silverlink 600, its popular range of medium duty catering equipment.

The new single, twin and four-zone models, together with a dished unit for wok cooking, are compatible with the full range of Silverlink 600 stands and pedestels.

Consequently they can be used either as standalone units or be suited with other items of Silverlink 600 equipment to create a stylish, bespoke cookline.

“Lincat induction hobs typically offer 90% efficiency as compared with a solid electric hotplate at 55% and a gas hob at 50%,” said Helen Mitchell, marketing executive at Lincat.

She added that the induction hobs deliver rapid heat-up and almost twice the cooking power of similarly rated gas hobs.

The new SLI3 and SLI3W (wok) are equipped with one high power 2.4kW cooking zone. The SLI21 is equipped with one 1kW and one 2kW cooking zones, while the SLI42 features two 1kW and two 2kW.

All of the units are manufactured at Lincat’s catering equipment plant in Lincoln from heavy duty components, including 6mm thick high impact-resistant Schott Ceran glass ceramic surfaces.
