Light equipment sellers seek hidden treasures

Sales staff from a host of catering equipment providers, including Bunzl Lockhart, Nisbets, Brakes and 3663 Catering Equipment will head to Daventry tomorrow to check out the latest innovations in the light equipment world.

More than 100 delegates will be taking part in CESA’s annual two-day Light Equipment and Tableware Forum, which gives suppliers and resellers an opportunity to meet on a one-to-one basis.

The event works in a ‘speed dating’ type way, with resellers moving around the room from one manufacturer to the next, getting the chance to spend around 20 minutes with each one.

14 suppliers are taking part in this year’s forum, representing everything from front-of-house presentation items to temperature measurement tools and countertop induction units.

The day will end with CESA announcing the Light Equipment Sales Professional of the Year award, which is given to the reseller salesperson that has excelled in the past 12 months.

On Thursday, meanwhile, delegates will hear presentations on a number of issues, including health and safety in the workplace, 2013 market trends in the foodservice sector and industry education opportunities.
