Liebherr has divulged plans to roll out a new fridge freezer that it hopes will help it gain more traction at the entry-level end of the market.
The Gastro Fridge Freezer GCv 4060, which will officially be unveiled at Hotelympia, has a list price of £1,390, but Liebherr insists it contains all the hallmarks of German engineering and a host of quality build features.
The GCV 4060 is aimed at smaller operators in cafes, pubs, bistros and restaurants who in the past may have relied on domestic models for their refrigeration and freezing needs.
The fridge has a capacity of 254 litres and the freezer 107 litres, while Liebherr says it offers a “tested and certificated” energy consumption of 1.3kWh in 24 hours.
Liebherr says the GCv 4060 has a temperature range of +1˚C to +15˚C (fridge) and -14˚C to -28˚C (freezer) and uses an electronic control system with digital display and audio/visual door-open alarms.
To celebrate the launch, Liebherr is holding a competition at Hotelympia where visitors who leave their details at its stand will be entered into a draw to win one of its FKv 503 counter top fridges worth £990.
