Lec uses feedback to re-engineer equipment line

Lec Commercial is expanding its professional refrigeration range with the introduction of new Platinum gastronorm compatible refrigeration and freezer units.

The launch of the revamped 600-litre units provides caterers with full 2/1 Gastronorm compatibility and maximum storage capacity.

Each features five removable wire shelves and a choice of 20 variable shelf positions, offering sufficient internal storage flexibility.

Diane Ho, commercial brand manager for GDPA, said it had redesigned the range after seeking the views of existing customers.

“Following on from user feedback, we have worked to develop a way to provide caterers with even great storage capabilities whilst including the same great features found in the existing range,” she said. “Being 2/1 Gastronorm compatible, chefs are able to maximise on internal flexibility to conveniently store a range of dishes ready for service.”

Much like the prevailing models, the 600 litre units are capable of operating in kitchens up to 38°c, offering flexibility for even the warmest sites.

An advanced controller has been designed to display temperature, high/low audible alarms and a door open alarm should the door be left open accidentally. Lec said that the use of R600a refrigerant and the latest in insulation techniques ensure efficient running costs.

Additionally, the freezer unit features a working temperature range of -18°c to -25°c and six fixed height shelves.
