Lec goes Platinum to mark 70th anniversary


Lec Commercial is rolling out a new range of refrigeration equipment under the ‘Platinum’ brand to commemorate its 70th anniversary in the market.

The line-up of under counter and freestanding refrigerators and freezers is designed to meet customer demand for energy efficiency and low running costs from a branded name.

The Platinum range will work in the warmest of commercial kitchens — up to 38˚C ambient temperature — and features stylish co-ordinating refrigerators and freezers in three new sizes: 200L, 400L and 600L.

Jon Usher, marketing manager, Jon Usher, says the range is built on the back of extensive market research that highlighted the need for a wider choice of energy efficient, environmentally friendly refrigeration with large storage capacities.”

“Durability, outstanding performance and most importantly reliability, are the hallmarks of Lec Commercial refrigeration and we are confident that the Platinum range will become a popular choice throughout hotels, restaurants, cafés, pubs, clubs and commercial kitchens,” he said.

Most models within the Platinum series incorporate R600a refrigerant — a derivative of natural gas — for improved efficiency and lower running costs.

The entire range boasts improved functionality and accuracy with fridges maintaining working temperatures of +0⁰C to +10⁰C and freezers maintaining -18⁰C to -25⁰C.

Lec will be selling the range through its distributor and wholesaler network, with list prices ranging from £499 to £1,399.
