Hobart’s newest range of warewashers has landed an iF Design Award, a mark of excellence given for functionality and aesthetic, and judged by an international panel of over 60 design experts.

The award for Best Product was given out by Germany’s iF International Forum Design, which lauded the range’s appearance, uniqueness and levels of innovation.

The new glass and dishwasher models have been designed around simplicity and performance. The range is said to drastically cut drying times, enhance the user experience via single button operation, improve efficiencies and for the first time provide a fully connected wash experience via Hobart’s new WashSmart app.

Tim Bender, sales director, Hobart Equipment Division, says: “Established in 1953, the iF design award has grown to become one of Germany’s foremost barometers of form and function. We’re delighted, therefore, that our newest range has been recognised in such a way. The development of the new undercounters represent a true leap in innovation, but have resulted in our smartest, simplest, most intuitive design so far. A true testament to our R&D process.”

The awards were held on 15 March at BMW Welt in Munich with the gong being collected by Hobart’s Harald Disch, director of warewash engineering Europe and global new technologies and Dietrich Berner, director of manufacturing.
