Milnthorpe-based distributor Lakes Catering Maintenance has increased its staff roster with two new additions.
The first is Tam Robertson, who has joined the firm’s engineering team. He is a highly qualified and time served engineer who spent more than 20 years with Hobart UK.
Secondly, the dealer has welcomes a young trainee to its team. Jack Smith is described as a “very bright and keen-to-learn individual”. The distributor believes he will bring a fresh new input to the company.
Lakes’ MD, Leigh Howard, commented: “With our service team now at eight engineers we are pleased to be able to offer a quicker service with more ‘on the road’ engineers reducing downtime on faulty equipment.”
Furthermore, Lakes is in the process of carrying out a scheme for Levens Hall Heritage Centre in Kendal. The distributor will soon complete a kitchen and front counter installation at the historic hall.
The equipment being installed consists of a bespoke Control Induction cooking suite, Rational SSC Duo combi ovens, an Adande refrigerated drawer and a Maidaid warewasher.
The site has a long history, going back to when the de Redman family erected a pele tower there in the 13th century. Today it remains in private ownership, with the latest proprietors being the Bagot family.
