Representatives from Lakes Catering Maintenance (LCM) and the ABM Group were part of the latest groups of catering equipment dealers, consultants and kitchen designers to visit the Frima factory in Wittenheim, Alsace.
The visitors were reportedly enthused by the potential of the VarioCooking Center technology. LCM MD Leigh Howard commented: “It’s a great product with great possibilities for our upcoming projects.”
Frima is part of Rational UK and the two trips, which took place this month, were led by Rational technical sales director Graham Kille. “I’m delighted by the response,” he said. “The dealer and consultant trips are designed to give our business partners training and knowledge about our Frima technology – we’re trying to show the massive potential that the VarioCooking Center has for modern commercial kitchens.
“Energy saving, space saving, speed, ease of use and cooking quality – these are key issues facing kitchen designers, and the Frima delivers solutions to them all.”
Graham Harrison, sales manager at ABM Group, Cardiff, was surprised by what he saw on the trip. “I have to say I was a lot more impressed than I expected to be, especially with the new 112L unit,” he said. “I can certainly see us scoring high with that model in the specialist markets we work in.”
The 112L is the latest Frima VarioCooking Center, a table-top unit that has two 25litre cooking pans. It’s designed to offer flexibility, both in production and in à la carte, while the 50litre capacity should provide sufficient frying surface and boiling capacity even at peak times.
Howard added: “I learnt a lot and it was great to meet everybody that attended. Many thanks to Frima for looking after us so well, I really enjoyed it.”
