Krupps strategises Catering Insight Awards support

Warewasher manufacturer Krupps has jumped in to back the Catering Insight Awards 2019, in association with the First Choice Group, for the very first time.

The firm grasped the opportunity of joining the sponsor line-up for the gala evening, to be held on Thursday 28 November, when the Distributor of the Year – Marketing & Strategy category was added to the programme this year.

This award will honour distributors across the UK which have actioned innovative marketing campaigns to stay at the cutting edge of the industry, as well as those which have devised well thought-out, original strategies to maintain and further their market position going forwards.

Krupps export MD Riccardo Scuotto explained: “Krupps sells worldwide only through distributors and it is very important for us to find and collaborate with the right partners capable of managing a good marketing and strategy in the UK.

“We support the distributors with our presence in this territory and provide all the tools required for a beneficial marketing campaign. Just recently, one of our distributors was a sponsor for a food and drink event in Derby and the firm required marketing material to promote various products so we immediately provided banners, machines and catalogues free of charge.”

He continued: “We also support dealers by creating the right value-added features on our machines like the ‘iKloud’, our remote Wi-Fi maintenance and service system. These technologies give distributors the capacity to promote a better service and maintenance, and add an exclusive machine feature to the client at no cost.”

Scuotto is a big personal fan of the awards, revealing: “The benefit of the Catering insight Awards is it allows major, high quality dealers and suppliers to distinguish themselves in a very crowded market.”

Nominations are now closed and the shortlist is in the process of being drawn up. Once this is finalised and announced at the beginning of November, senior members of the UK catering equipment industry will vote on the winners, with supplier executives deciding the distributor category victors, and vice versa.

The winners will be announced at the gala Catering Insight Awards night at the grand Banking Hall, London. The official celebratory After-Party will then follow at the nearby Forge bar.
