Krupps sets up own virtual demonstration studio

Italian warewasher manufacturer Krupps has established Digimeet, a new way to digitally meet its distributors around the world while the industry can’t physically travel.

Digimeet is a specific area set up at Krupps headquarters in Padua, Italy, a room exclusively designed for hosting live trainings with cameras, sound mixers, lights, backdrops and everything necessary to run a demonstration with professional warewashers. The area is equipped with undercounter glasswashers and dishwashers, hood type models and potwashers, including the new Klean Lab professional clogwashers aimed at helping the fight against the coronavirus.

In this room both the sales staff or engineers can find different washing solutions, accessories and spare parts, enabling them to show their partners the full scope of Krupps’ portfolio in the quickest way.

Export MD Riccardo Scuotto said about Digimeet: “Krupps gave us a very helpful tool to meet our customers in a situation in which travelling, especially abroad, is extremely complicated. Everybody can join us to see our products and how they work or attend a technical training on specific topics.

“I really appreciate this new approach, totally different from a training presentation with slides and a low level of interaction; now I can get in touch with a single distributor or with a group of them and show exactly what they need, since running a live training between UK and the Krupps HQ has become very easy.”

This new way to interact with Krupps is allowing the Italian firm to build strong relationships with new markets like Oceania, South America and Asia, as their negotiations were never interrupted by Covid-19 thanks to Digimeet. Krupps feels that Digimeet also represents a starting point for live demos and trainings that could be the best way to get in touch with everybody in the future too.

The manufacturer’s marketing manager, Manuel Petrucci, said: “Digimeet is more than a webinar, it is a place in which our customers can have a deep dive into our warewashing philosophy. We organised our salespeople a great tool that is very simple to use but at the same time extremely sophisticated. They can easily manage several cameras at the same time and everything goes on live.

“This means that through our Digimeet there is a strong interaction between Krupps and the customers and we can show them everything they need as if they were physically in front of the machine, while keeping them comfortable in their offices.”

Krupps uses the facility to runs everyday demonstrations on best practice and training, following customers’ feedback, conducting live broadcasts with maximum interaction and focusing on specific themes, starting from new products up to technical issues about how to install a specific accessory on their equipment.
