Warewasher manufacturer Krupps has received feedback from dealer technicians at its latest training session.
The firm’s export MD Riccardo Scuotto revealed that he had the opportunity to talk to more than 20 service companies, and together analyse Krupps’ product reliability and service efficiency.
He said that the result of this discussion, together with the manufacturer’s last distributor outreach, revealed that the company’s customers are appreciating Krupps’ Service Care and its appliance dependability.
The manufacturer feels that three core propositions have helped to generate this positive response. Scuotto detailed: “IKloud, the first wi-fi remote control system for professional warewashers, is one of Krupps most beloved innovations to prevent downtime.
“We invested more than €1m for the development of the iKloud. Controlling the warewasher remotely enables technicians prevent breakdowns by analysing performance and checking scheduled maintenance through a smartphone or a computer. This feature let distributors always be up to date with every equipment, getting an overview of all warewashers installed.”
He continued: “The self-diagnosis system is an incredible feature too: if an error is recognised, the warewasher automatically sends a notification to technical service via the iKloud connection. In this way engineers know the situation in real-time and even before the end user. This allows technicians to remotely operate the warewasher and modify any parameter to solve the issue. Or if a site visit is required, the engineer will already know the problem the customer is facing and be able to perform a first time fix.”
Scuotto believes that the second element is the equipment design. “Krupps experience makes us able to improve our products year on year, adopting new technologies and solutions to make interventions onsite every day easier. Our efforts are said to be very effective by engineers; for this reason downtimes on our products are easier to solve than other equipment.”
Finally, he feels that spares is another key point regarding efficiency, emphasising: “In the UK every engineer has complete access to Krupps’ original spare parts through First Choice Group. This means that distributors can be very responsive, able to solve issues in a very short time and reduce downtime.”
