S&S Northern has introduced new contemporary designs for a number of its gas interlock systems, simplifying their use in commercial kitchens.
The updated panels feature an easy-to-use touch button control, replacing the key system that was previously used to turn gas, water and electricity on and off.
The Lancashire-based firm says its popular Merlin 2000 and Merlin 2500 units both now feature the touch button technology, which it sells through the dealer channel.
Steve McMahon, managing director of S&S Northern, said the new designs will allow easier and quicker control over the gas supply to the kitchen, thereby ensuring the health and safety of staff.
“Our new panels have a new contemporary design and therefore fit well into a new kitchen,” he said. “The new models will perform exactly the same functions but the touch button controls are more user-friendly and ensure that losing a key for the panel is no longer a concern.”
S&S has also introduced the same technology to interlocks that it produces for use in school and university laboratories.
S&S employs 12 staff, with workers based at both its HQ near Chorley in Lancashire and its southern office in Shoeburyness, Essex.
