Kitchen ventilation system-provider Kitchen Vent Technical (KVT) is to move into larger premises after less than a year in business.

The team of Ian Levin – commercial director, Jim Dixon – operations director and Rose Lazell – financial director struck out on their own in 2019, after having worked together in the kitchen ventilation industry for over 25 years. They were instrumental in starting and running Britannia Kitchen Ventilation as well as the HVAC Kitchen Ventilation Division, among other companies.

The company’s first base was in Stockton, Warwickshire, but demand has been so high that as of 24 February, KVT will be headquartered within two units of Warwick House Business Park in nearby Southam.

The new premises allows for more storage space of standard parts and gives a much-needed additional area for assembly, inspection and short-term storage of canopies and service distribution units. The factory areas have been fitted out with mezzanine levels, racking and shelving to store the various components, fans, and fittings that are needed on a regular basis as well as providing safe stacking of manufactured components ready for assembly.

KVT believes the modest but well-equipped offices provide for a comfortable and efficient design and administration point.

Levin said: “When Rose, Jim and I first started KVT in May of last year, we knew that the market was uncertain and that it would be difficult to gain a foothold. We were cautious in our expectations of the company’s first years of growth. However, our main customers have been extremely supportive and we have made great progress in getting new clients on board.

“We have won several prestigious projects contributing to a better than expected turnover and margin, which now enable us to take this important step in growing the company. Our customers keep coming back for more and more and we owe it to them to facilitate their increasing demand for the KVT product and service.”

He remarked: “A big ‘thank you’ to all of our customers and suppliers for their help and support – we look forward to doing more with you in the future.”
