The Manchester-based kitchen design house, Commercial Kitchen and Bar, has been appointed to undertake the architectural design and refurbishment of upcoming Manchester restaurant, Kala.
The outlet will be the latest in the Elite Bistros chain, owned by restaurateur Gary Usher, and is scheduled to open in May.
Commercial Kitchen and Bar is managing all aspects of architectural design and project management of the build in accordance with Usher’s vision.
The Manchester-based company previously managed the design projects for Hispi, Wreckfish and Pinion within the Elite Bistros group.
Design themes for Kala will include a ‘relaxed’, rustic aesthetic, with walnut, brass, concrete and emerald tones running throughout the interior.
The distributor is owned by Raju W. Haider, and the firm has progressed from fabricating bespoke stainless steel and catering equipment for restaurant kitchens into design, project management and consultancy for all aspects of the hospitality industry.
