To mark its 25th anniversary, Keith Elkington Transport, the Milton Keynes-based catering equipment transport provider, has recently taken delivery of a special truck.
Supplied by local DAF dealer Brian Currie, the cab, body and tail lift of the DAF CF 65 is painted in ‘anniversary silver’, with the chassis painted in blue to complement the company logo. For added impact the new lorry has chrome light bars on the roof of the cab, whilst the company livery is prominently displayed on the body of the truck along with celebratory 25 year laurels.
MD Keith Elkington said: “We wanted something really outstanding to mark being the industry’s number one transport provider and celebrate 25 years. I think we have achieved that with this truck; it has real presence when it arrives on site. It is really impressive both from our company prospective but also for our customers, as we are making a big statement for them to their clients.
“The truck is fitted out to do a professional job with air suspension, a 2.7metre tail lift and loads of load-lock for securing even the most awkward of equipment.”
Congratulating the company on their 25th anniversary, David Smithson, CEO of the Winterhalter Group said: “Winterhalter has been delighted to be associated with Keith Elkington Transport from the inception of the company. Distribution is such a crucial element and integrated part of any operation; to be able to rely on your partners with such confidence that the product will arrive on time, in perfect condition and basically manage the process from A to Z is testament to the success and longevity of any business.”
Keith Elkington Transport supplies a range of transport services, project management, warehousing and consolidation services to over 90 catering equipment companies from manufacturers to distributors and design houses. During its anniversary year it has also gained ISO90001 accreditation and become members of CESA and ENSE.
