KCCJ will be designing and outfitting the kitchens at new event space, Magazine London.

Kent-based distributor KCCJ has signed a partnership to outfit the kitchens for a new event space, Magazine London, on the Greenwich Peninsula.

Venue owner Smart Group approached KCCJ to assist with the design, supply and installation of a CPU kitchen, catering for 1,500 to 2,000 covers at a new facility being built at Meridian Quay (Magazine) in London.

Magazine London itself will offer a flexible 3,000 capacity events space (total 3,205metre2), and will also benefit from an adjoining landscaped environment, The Showground, on the banks of the River Thames, with capacity for 7,000.

This purpose-built, 24,179metre2 destination is the largest of its kind in London, offering a blank canvas for culture and commerce. The launch of this new events space will take place in the summer of 2019,

Smart Group reportedly recognised KCCJ’s experience in delivering designs capable of catering for extremely high numbers within stadia and arena. The operator therefore felt KCCJ was the right fit for its business going forward, especially in its desire to embrace new technology within event type and corporate hospitality catering operations.

KCCJ sees this as a great opportunity to not only assist Smart Group with the design, planning and execution of this project, but also an opportunity of forming a close working partnership with it across its estate of major venues and CPU kitchens going forward.
