Kent distributor KCCJ has showcased its capabilities with smaller projects with the outfit of a site at Bat and Ball station near Sevenoaks.
Working with Lengard Construction, the dealer was drafted in for this refurbishment project which included the installation of a small café for the provision of snacks and light refreshments. Site owner Sevenoaks District Council tasked KCCJ to develop both a small prep kitchen and front of house servery works.
With the original design coming from KCCJ’s in-house consultancy division, this project entailed providing the prep kitchen with electric cooking facilities, along with a back bar counter and servery counter.
Equipment supplied included a Hobart oven and griddle, an RH Hall-provided Sharp microwave, Interlevin refrigeration and Maidaid warewashing. Other suppliers involved in the project included Mechline, Sammic and Hatco.
Additional items such as handle-less doors were supplied, and the likes of integrating roller shutter supports were fitted into the back counter to keep the uniform aesthetics of the project.
The cafe was installed over a two-stage period to run in conjunction with the site programme. A further visit was required to commission once all services had been connected.
The distributor reported that The Bat and Ball Station Café was delivered on time and on budget.
