Dartford-based dealer KCCJ has installed a K-S200 WR1TR1 rack transport dishwasher supplied and commissioned by Meiko for the University of Derby.
Meiko also provided associated water softening equipment as part of the refurbishment of the university’s main kitchen.
KCCJ’s construction manager Greg Andrews said: “The service and technical support received from Meiko was first class. It has been extremely helpful and proactive.”
With a maximum throughput of 150 racks per hour, the K-S200 features integral heat recovery as a standard feature.
According to Meiko regional sales manager Martin Pinder: “A quick turnaround was required due to site restrictions, but Meiko Technical Services, once again, came up trumps.
“Technical Services arranged for two engineers to attend site and remove the machine – a 6metre long Meiko flight dishwasher – with only 1 week’s notice. KCCJ was then able to carry out the refurbishment over the summer shutdown.”
The K-S200 is said to be suitable for tight spaces, low ceilings, refurbishments or new builds because direct overhead ventilation ducting is not usually required, only general room ventilation, if suitable air changes are available within the wash-up area. This can save in ventilation costs.
Also claimed to be of particular significance is the increased machine entry height of 508mm allowing for the cleaning of trays as well as crockery, cutlery and glassware.
