JP Commercial Kitchens completes £800,000 project

JP Commercial Kitchens has successfully completed a project alongside main contractor Conlon Construction to add 270-person extra capacity to Bolton School Senior Girls’ Division’s catering facilities.

The £800,000 revamp took 11 weeks and finished in September 2015.

The existing kitchen has been fully refurbished with equipment from Rational, BGL Rieber, Foster Refrigerator and CED Fabrications. The newly refurbished kitchen also caters for the Junior Girls’ Division kitchen – in total, catering for more than 1,100 pupils.

A full ventilation system was supplied and fitted by Calder Catering Design. This comprised an island canopy with an additional offset canopy for the combi ovens located in a recessed area of the kitchen.

Four main areas were updated, including the dishwash area, with equipment from Winterhalter including a rack machine. The servery counters were designed and installed by Victor Manufacturing, while the cold rooms were designed and installed by Foster Coldstores.

J P Commercial Kitchens planned, designed and specified the equipment for this project, working directly with the school from the planning stage over a 5 year period.

The dealer had already completed several projects at Bolton School and it is now looking forward to continuing the good relationship which has been built up over a long period.
