JLA has now entered the fire safety sector.

Servicing giant JLA has acquired fire safety equipment provider, Fire Bright Solutions.

Fire Bright provides fire alarm systems, automatic opening vents (AOVs), portable extinguishers and emergency lighting, and is NSI regulated and BAFE SP203 accredited.

Based in Cheshire, but operating nationally, Fire Bright has been in operation for 15 years. It specialises in the design, supply and installation of fire safety solutions, backed up by maintenance contracts.

This acquisition marks JLA’s first entry into the fire safety industry but, as Liam Grant, chief commercial officer explained, is the result of a carefully planned expansion: “JLA works to keep critical areas of our customers businesses running smoothly, safely and effectively, whether it’s in the laundry, kitchen or boiler room.

“Fire safety was a natural extension for us – our customers had been asking us if we could look after their fire systems and our focus on removing hassle for customers and fast engineer response lends itself perfectly to fire safety. We have been planning our expansion into the industry for some time now and it is great to join forces with the team at Fire Bright to enhance our offering.”

The launch of fire safety solutions is aimed at complementing JLA’s existing heating, laundry and catering services and allowing both sets of customers to benefit from having the most critical areas of their business covered by one supply and service partner.

Fire Bright will continue to be led by the existing management team. Wes Ward, MD of Fire Bright said: “We are excited to be working with JLA Group, it’s a great opportunity for us. The extra investment and access to sales, marketing and best-in-class service delivery resources will allow us to continue to grow our business and bring our expertise to JLA’s customers, whilst maintaining the first-class service all our customers are used to.”

Grant added: “We are thrilled to welcome the Fire Bright team to the JLA Group. Their professionalism and focus on customer service has been apparent to see and we are really looking forward to working together to grow our fire safety division and deliver even better service to all of our customers.”
