L-r: Jan Blom, president of commercial kitchens at Absolent Air Care Group and Andrew James from Purified sign the Jeven/Purified Air partnership agreement.

The Commercial Kitchen Ventilation unit of Jeven UK’s parent company, Absolent Air Care Group, has signed a co-operation agreement with Purified Air.

The deal will see Romford-based Purified become a UK supplier for Jeven’s TurboSwing technology for commercial kitchen filtration.

Purified Air was founded in 1984 and is a turnkey provider that works closely with a range of UK consultants and mechanical contractors to ensure their clients benefit from the most appropriate kitchen extraction solutions.

Adding Jeven products to Purified’s portfolio is aimed at strengthening the company’s UK service offering.

Purified’s sales director Andrew James explained: “We are totally committed to offering each and every customer the best extraction system for their specific requirements. Different cuisines and styles of cooking require different extraction methods to ensure the highest levels of efficiency – we pride ourselves on working closely with customers to offer them the technology that best meets their needs.

“Jeven’s TurboSwing filter is the ideal companion to our own range of Electrostatic Precipitators (ESPs) – not only does it look great, but it effectively removes larger grease particles before they enter the ESP. This reduces the particle loading on the wires, enabling the ESP filter to achieve optimum performance for longer.”

The appointment of Purified Air is part of Jeven’s efforts to increase its presence in the UK market. Global commercial director (AACG Commercial Kitchen Ventilation), Johan Karlberg commented: “Jeven has worked in the UK for more than 10 years now and this market is very attractive. The hospitality industry has changed over the past 20 years and will continue to do so. We’ve seen growth in a number of different restaurant segments, for example Asian cuisine, and we recognise that the demand for new technology to match present and future requirements in commercial kitchen ventilation will continue to increase at a fast pace.”

Purified Air will join Jeven UK and long-term partner Cyclone Ventilation to offer a nationwide ‘Total Extraction Solution’ for commercial kitchen ventilation that includes technical expertise in specification, design, manufacture, and installation. This approach should mean that customers can access the best solution for their specific requirements through one contractor.

Karlberg concluded: “Working with another established partner offers us an enormous opportunity to really establish the Jeven technology and brand in the UK market. We are all very excited about this collaboration and where it could take us.”
