Jestic Foodservice Solutions became the official supplier of Mibrasa Charcoal Ovens to the UK market as of 1 September.
Manufactured in Spain, Mibrasa ovens and grills are said to be handmade from steel by craftsmen.
Steve Morris, sales director at Jestic Foodservice Solutions commented: “We have been aware of Mibrasa equipment for many years, and after recent extensive product testing in our development kitchen, we are absolutely delighted to be able to announce this new partnership.
“The ovens and grills did not just meet our expectations but exceeded them every time, passing every trial we ran with flying colours.
“Consequently, to continue to offer our customers what we believe to be the absolute best brands and equipment at the best prices, we had a difficult decision to take. As we continued our conversations, we were left in no doubt that bringing the Mibrasa brand into our portfolio was right for both Jestic and our customers.”
Morris added: “Mibrasa is a young, family-run company that places an emphasis on quality and robustness. Mixing the latest engineering techniques and steels of the highest quality, they work to achieve maximum precision in every detail, resulting in a product that is superior in performance and versatility. As such, we are delighted that we will be their new partner in the UK.”
Pere Hernandez, MD of Mibrasa commented: “Jestic Foodservice Solutions is renowned in the industry for only supplying the highest quality brands and equipment and we are therefore delighted that they have agreed to partner with Mibrasa.
“We believe that this partnership is absolutely perfect for both Jestic and Mibrasa and we look forward to working with the team in Paddock Wood over the coming years to develop the brand further in the UK.”
In addition to its charcoal ovens, Mibrasa also manufactures Parilla grills, as well as Robatayaki and Hibachi mobile grills.
Prior to this point, Ascentia Foodservice Equipment was the sole importer for the Mibrasa brand since 2015.
Jestic itself previously supplied Josper charcoal ovens into the UK market. It is not clear what Josper’s route to market in the UK will now be, however it was acquired by Middleby Corporation 2 years ago so it appears likely that it will use Middleby’s existing channels in the UK.
