Jestic Foodservice Solutions has become the third company to back the Kitchen & Equipment Awards, the special joint digital event from Catering Insight and Foodservice Equipment Journal.
The awards week, starting on 30 November, will see winners announced through videos premiered on both publications’ YouTube channels, honour the extraordinary efforts of dealers, operators and suppliers during the most challenging year in the industry’s history.
Jestic has signed up to back the Operator of the Year – Equipment Innovation category, with sales director Steve Morris explaining: “Introducing innovative new equipment to a kitchen can have a profound effect on a foodservice business’ operations – and never more so than during the unprecedented coronavirus epidemic. With this in mind we are delighted to be sponsoring the Operator of the Year – Equipment Innovation category in the Kitchen & Equipment Awards – which recognises the time, investment and sheer hard work that goes into rolling out innovative equipment across multiple sites.”
The supplier is also highly supportive of the event’s concept, with Morris analysing: “The coronavirus epidemic and the resulting lockdown has had a massive impact on operators who have needed to innovate and adapt their businesses in order to survive.
“Despite the obvious challenges this year has presented, there is still so much to celebrate and so the Kitchen & Equipment Awards are a fantastic opportunity to acknowledge those in our industry who have gone the extra mile during the most challenging of times. We are delighted to support the awards with our sponsorship of the Operator of the Year – Equipment Innovation category and would like to wish all the nominees the best of luck.”
He added: “Whilst encouraging green shoots of recovery are evident for operators as some customers have returned to dining out, it is only through the continued support and flexibility of the entire supply chain that this growth can be sustained. As we all face unprecedented challenges, honouring the businesses and individuals who are keeping our industry going through the Kitchen & Equipment Awards is something to be applauded.”
