Jestic is expanding the cooking side of its product portfolio after signing a sales agreement with the European brand Atollspeed.

The company will focus on marketing its AS300T hybrid oven to dealers which have customers that are looking for a high-speed cooking solution.

Jestic’s managing director, Steve Loughton, said that although Atollspeed has supplied to the UK before, the tie-up represented a commitment from its Austria-based management team to secure a greater presence in the market.

“They haven’t found the right distributor [up to now], but we’re in the business of providing specialist items to specialist customers and we believe it is a great fit,” he said.

He added that the equipment would bring something new and innovative to Jestic’s existing customer base.

The Atollspeed unit combines hot air impingement and microwave heating technology, enabling baking, frying and cooking up to 10 times’ faster than conventional ovens.

Its USP is that it can cook a wide variety of products at rapid speeds with a very high repeatable standard, making it ideal for operators looking to get into the snack business.

Michael Eyre, product director of Jestic, said the touchscreen system can store up to 100 programmes, including menu pictures, and features a hygienic baking chamber for quick and simple cleaning.

“Its compact, multi-stackable design takes up little space and is packed with exciting new technology,” he stated.
